Suhaani and Jahaan fall in love, sing songs and decides to marry but wait, Bollywood love story cannot be done with so easily. Here comes the next cliché phase of the rejection by the family. They both separates because of the denial by the families leading to misunderstanding between them but by the time passes they realise that they cannot live without each other. How common! Obviously Bollywood love stories end at a happy note and so do Junooniyat but audiences do not come out with happy face watching the two and half hour long run dragged love story.
Yami has given outstanding performance in Vicky Donor but Junooniyat showcases an average acting by Yami. Although Yami do look, good in the movie but looks can deceive and so does the movie. Pulkit is still struggling to stabilise his bollywood career and boy he needs to improve upon his acting. The sappy drama scenes are not good though the music is decent. The best in the album would be the remake of Stereo Nation’s Nachanege Saari raat by Meet Bros and Anjaan. There are few scenes involving Shaayris, mesmerising locations and a couple of songs which manage to do well. We give this movie 2 stars. DjmazaHits gave it 2.5 stars.
Overall Junooniyat is another love story with no difference, which can be skipped.
